**LIMITED EDITION PATRON PIN**
Brass, white paint, clear epoxy with a parrot clip closure.
If you want to champion my work in a one-off fashion, buying one of these pins is a great way to do that. I call it the Patron Pin.
ART FRIEND is how I address my email subscribers so it seemed a natural fit for some patron-specific merch.
The purchase of everything in my Store supports me as a creative self-employed person but the ART FRIEND badge is slightly different because it has been made specifically as a token of arts patronage. The sale of each badge goes toward art materials so I can continue to work in a series, at scale.
It won’t be obvious to anyone that you’re a patron because “art friend” can be read different ways but it’ll be a way of having a conversation about the importance of the Arts in our everyday if people ask. And, every time you put it on, you’ll be reminding yourself about the value of the very human behaviour that is artistic expression.
Artists are oftentimes solitary but we thrive in company, sharing our work. So patronage really is being a friend of The Arts and also a friend of Artists.

ABOUT THE BADGES
Cast in brass, with enamel colouring and epoxy protection and a pin+ parrot clip closure on the back, these are made by school badge specialists Precision Badges, based in East Auckland, New Zealand. I went looking for a local production house to make these precious pieces, and I struck gold with this company. They make badges for many schools and organisations around the country.
