This is the first tondo drawing I made. It evokes a quality of relationship we have needed a lot in the last year or so: comfort.
The style of figure drawing is one I continue to use as an exercise in my studies at painting school: drawing an entire figure without taking the stylus off the surface. It requires a combination of faith, surrender, and acceptance. It's a form of meditation almost, an exercise in letting go.

I have returned to the tondo shape and to relational figures again and again because not only is the style a good go-to for me in a project with such broad parameters ("use an Adobe iPad app every day") but "being in a bubble" has really taken on a new and challenging meaning in the last year.
