Drawing Club is back for Spring, with our first ever guest teacher: Sandra Waine, print-maker and stamp-carver extraordinaire.
Workshop Date: Saturday 12th September, 10am-12:30pm (2.5hrs)
$85 per person. All tools and materials included, plus morning tea.
In this hands-on workshop, learn how choose/create effective designs, how to transfer those designs onto rubber printing media, and use different kinds of carving tools to cut them out.
Tools, materials and light refreshments will be provided.
No drawing or carving experience is required to attend this workshop. You will walk away with a carved stamp and cards and tags you've printed yourself.
Detailed info about the workshop and the studio location will be sent once you've signed up.
ABOUT SANDRA:
Sandra is a printmaker currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her love of
lino block printing was inspired by her aunt’s woodcuts and rekindled
while studying fine arts at TAFE in North Sydney. In 2010 she won first
prize in the Printmaking Section at the Royal Easter Show and had a
joint exhibition at Depot Artspace in Devonport. More recently she had
an exhibition at Satellite 2 Gallery in Devonport after completing the 100
Day Journey with a lovely kiwi community hosted by the fabulous
Amanda Billing.
